AI Usage & Media Rights Policy
Transparency, copyright compliance, performer rights, and archival integrity across all GenAI Studio workflows.
1. Source Material Ownership & Authorization
Clients submitting film negatives, video tapes, digital masters, audio recordings, or script treatments to GenAI Studio represent and warrant that they possess the necessary copyright ownership, distribution license, or express written authorization from the underlying copyright holder to submit said materials for restoration, digital enhancement, colorization, or generative transformation.
2. Voice Cloning & Performer Likeness Governance
GenAI Studio adheres to strict ethical guardrails regarding the synthetic reproduction or modification of human likeness and voice:
- Living Performers: Voice cloning, facial de-ageing, and neural lip-sync articulation require explicit, verifiable written consent from the performer or their accredited management.
- Deceased Performers: Any voice synthesis, face replication, or generative tribute involving deceased performers requires legal estate authorization, heir clearance, or statutory public domain verification depending on the applicable national copyright jurisdiction.
- We reserve the right to decline any project involving unverified likenesses or unauthorized voice synthesis.
3. Interpretive Nature of Film Colorization
Monochrome (black and white) celluloid records only luminance (brightness), not original chrominance (color). AI-assisted colorization estimates colors based on neural probability distributions, historical textile research, and period references.
GenAI Studio does not warrant that colorized outputs represent the historically exact original reality unless documentary evidence, surviving color wardrobe samples, or original production logs exist. Colorization outputs are an interpretive artistic restoration intended for modern entertainment and cultural revival.
4. Human Supervision & Quality Control
All generative and neural outputs produced by GenAI Studio are subject to human review, frame-level quality checks, and artistic supervision by experienced post-production artists. We do not provide unmonitored automated API pipelines to the general public.
5. Disclosure & Compliance with Platform Standards
Depending on the target exhibition medium (theatrical distribution, broadcast networks, YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime), applicable laws or platform terms may require disclosure of AI-modified or AI-generated media (such as synthetic voice dubbing or de-ageing). The client is solely responsible for fulfilling platform-specific AI disclosure labeling upon commercial distribution.
6. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure (NDA)
GenAI Studio routinely executes bilateral Non-Disclosure Agreements with producers, film archives, and corporate entities. All footage provided via secure preview links or private hard drives is stored on encrypted, access-controlled workstations and is permanently archived or purged following project delivery according to the master service contract.
